Linocut and printing workshop – 1 day 

Spend a creative day immersed in the rewarding process of lino cutting and printing in my studio.

All materials are provided, although you’re very welcome to bring your own cutting tools if you have them. We’ll begin the morning with coffee before we start with sketching and design work inspired by the foliage in my studio garden. Together, we’ll explore expressive mark-making and how loose, observational sketches can evolve into strong lino designs.

After lunch (please bring a pack-up) and more tea or coffee, you’ll transfer your design onto lino and learn how to carve with confidence, discovering how to create energy, texture, tone and movement through your cutting techniques.

You’ll also learn the printing process itself — from inking the plate to burnishing and pulling your final prints by hand. At the end of the day, you’ll take home your lino block and prints, allowing you to continue printing at home if you wish. Cutting tools used during the workshop will also be available to purchase.
