AUTUMN LIGHTSHOW (SOLD)

Plein air fine liner on watercolour paper prepared with gesso, with watercolour and posca pen applied on return to my studio.

On this specific day there seemed to be four seasons in one hour, let alone one day, and this resulted in an afternoon filled with dappled and reflected light. In this sketch I tried to capture the dynamism of light that pierced its way through the branches and strobed as the leaves that remained on the trees shivered in the wind – a sparkling show of sunbeams through the trees.
