FOR SAFETY (FIRECREST)

One of the smallest bird species found in the UK, the firecrest flits through upper branches with a high-pitched song that reaches the limits of human hearing. The vibrant colours of its crest have inspired the landscape in this painting, allowing the bird’s energy and warmth to permeate the entire surface.
