TREES THAT CLING TO A CORNISH HEDGE
SOLD
Plein air fine liner on paper prepared with gesso, with watercolour, posca pen applied on return to my studio.
No wonder Cornish folklore is filled with the mystical and magical – when I walk along a country lane in Cornwall, I am always intrigued by the trees and their roots and the way they curl and twist and grasp and reach. They are like ancient mythical creatures. Trees planted in Cornish hedges help stabilize the structure by providing additional support through their root systems. The intertwining roots of trees contribute to the overall strength and longevity of the hedge.
