Trill (Blue Tit)

Trill (Blue Tit)

This small canvas depicts a blue tit in flight through lush garden foliage. Although blue tits are generally considered a stable species, data shows a shallow decline in recent years. Like many garden birds, they are increasingly affected by climate change, with warmer springs causing caterpillar populations to peak earlier in the season, often before they are needed as food for chicks. This disruption highlights how climate change can shift delicate ecological timings within nature. The painting reflects the vitality of the blue tit.
